Melko usein tulee otettua blogipostauksiin enemmän tai vähemmän inspiraatiota muiden blogeista tai videoista, mutta ihan tälläiseen postaukseen en ole kyllä törmännyt missään. Sellaisia postauksia ja videoita olen kyllä nähnyt, missä on kerrottu esimerkiksi hius- tai pukeutumistyylin kehityksestä vuosien saatossa, mutta en sellasia missä olisi käyty läpi kokonaisia vuosia ja niiden kohokohtia. Valitsin vuosimääräksi kymmenen vuotta, koska se nyt on aika kiva luku, eikä sitä aiemmissa vuosissa juuri ole mitään mainittavaa. 2007 pääsin ala-asteelta yläasteelle ja kävin iskän kanssa Evanescencen konsertissa. Sitä aiempiin vuosiin mahtuu vain perus ala-astetta ja muuta tylsää. Joten aloittakaamme vuodesta 2008.
Quite often I take more or less inspiration for blog posts from other people's blogs or videos, but this kinda post I haven't seen anywhere. I've seen post that only focus on like the changes of style or hair during the years, but never one with a recap of an entire year. I chose ten years, because it is a nice number, and I don't really have much to tell about the earlier years. 2007 I went from primary school to lower secondary school and went to see an Evanescence concert with my dad, and the years before that are just about basic elementary school thigs. So lets start with 2008.
2008 vuodestakaan ei ole ihan hirveästi kerrottavaa. Kesällä käytiin iskän kanssa Avril Lavignen konsertissa. Keväällä äiti toi mulle Pariisista punaset Converset ja ne olikin sitten parin vuoden ajan lähes ainoat kengät mitä käytin. On ne mulla vieläkin, mutta koska pohja on lähes puhki kulunut, ei niitä oikein tule enää käytettyä.
2008. There's not a lot to say about this year either. In the Summer my dad and I went to see an Avril Lavigne concert. In the Spring my mum brought me a pair of red Converse from Paris. For a couple of years those were pretty much the only shoes I used. I still got them, but since the sole is so worn off, I barely ever wear them nowadays.
2009 oli kiva vuosi, sanoisin ehkä jopa mun suosikki tähänastisen elämäni vuosista. Tähän vuoteen mahtui monta unohtumatonta juttua, kuten esimerkiksi ripari. Kesällä voitin Demin kilpailusta liput Britney Spearsin keikalle, syksyllä tuli tehtyä päivä Tukholmassa -reissu ja marraskuussa oli Paramoren konsertti. Koko vuoden voisi tiivistää kahteen asiaan: Paramore ja Paavo Pesusieni. Tänä vuonna sain myös ensimmäisen oman tietokoneeni. Se oli vanha, käytetty pöytäkone ja käyttöjärjestelmänäkin oli Windows XP, mutta ainakin se oli mun oma kone.
2009 was a good year, I could maybe even call it the best year of my life this far. This year included so many unforgettable moments, for example the confirmation camp. In the Summer I won tickets to see a Britney Spears concert, in the Autumn I went to Stockholm for a day and in November there was a Paramore concert. The whole year could be summed up to two things: Paramore and SpongeBob SquarePants. This year I also got my first own computer. It was old, used desktop one and the operating system was Windown XP, but at least it was mine.
2010 oli myös kiva vuosi. Keväällä otettiin vielä viimeiset ilot irti yläasteesta ja syksyllä mentiikin sitten lukioon. Yksi vuoden parhaista jutuista oli toukokuussa ranskanryhmän kanssa tehty reissu Nizzaan ja Monacoon. Siihen reissuun mahtui monta unohtumatonta hetkeä, muun muassa etanoiden syönti sekä formuloiden korvia särkevä ääni. Tämän vuoden kesällä olin myös ensimmäisessä kesätyössäni isosena seurakunnan leirillä. Se leiri kesti konaisuudessaan jopa kaksi päivää, mutta saipahan edes vähän työkokemusta.
2010 was also a nice year. In the Spring I was still enjoying the lower secondary school and in the Autumn I started the upper secondary school. One of the best things of the year was the trip to Nice and Monaco with the French group in May. There's so many unforgettable memories from that trip, including eating snails and the incredibly loud noise of F1 cars. In the Summer of this year I had my first summer job working at the congregational kids' camp. That camp only lasted for two days, but at least I got some working experience.
2011 vuoden keväällä sain mun järkkärin, Canon EOS 500D:n, joka mulla on edelleekin käytössä. Kesällä tehtiin koko perheen voimin viikon reissu Kreikan lämpöön Korfulle. Tällä reissulla poltin otsani, kuten kuvasta ehkä saattaa huomata. Samana kesänä olin myös ihan kunnon kesätöissä kasvien parissa. Niistä töistä tienatuilla rahoilla tulikin sitten heti ostettua uusi puhelin ja parin kuukauden päästä vielä läppäri.
2011. In the Spring I got my DSLR, Canon EOS 500D, which I still use. In the Summer my whole family went for a holiday in the island of Corfu in Greece. On that trip I burned my forehead, as you may be able to see in the picture. In the same Summer I had a proper summer job working with plants. With the money I earned I bought a new phone and a laptop.
2012 oli se maaginen vuosi kun täytin 18. Syksy olikin sitten biletystä melkein joka viikonloppu. Keväällä aloitin autokoulun ja syyskuussa olikin sitten kortti taskussa. Keväällä sain vihdoin kuvataidekoulunkin loppuun. Kesällä olin töissä kolmessa eri paikassa.
2012 was the magical year when I turned 18. The Autumn was just pure partying almost every weekend. In the Spring I started learning driving, and finally in September I had my licence. In the Sping I also graduated from the art school. In the Summer I had three different jobs.
2013 oli vuosi johon mahtui kaikenlaista. Alkuvuodesta oli ylioppilaskirjoituksia, sekä yhteishaku, joka hiukan saattoi aiheuttaa stressiä, koska mulla ei ollut hajuakaan mitä haluan tehdä isona, ja lukion politiikkahan oli, että jos välivuoden joudut pitämään, niin elämäs on ohi, eikä susta tuu ikinä mitään. Eihän se oikeasti ollut niin, vaan välivuosi oli ihan hyvä juttu. Kesällä oli sitten ylioppilasjuhlat. Vuoden aikana tuli myös kärvisteltyä töissä, jotka ei ollut ihan niitä mun unelmaduuneja.
2013 was a year with a lot of different things. At the beginning of the year there were the matriculation exams, and the time to apply for further education, which was quite a stress, since I had no idea what I wanted to be when I grow up, and my school wasn't very supportive of gap years. Despites that, the gap year turned out to be a good thing. In the Summer I finally had the graduation party. During this year I spent some time in jobs that weren't really my dream jobs.
2014 oli isojen muutosten vuosi. Ensimmäisenä tuli leikkautettua otsatukka, joka oli kyllä yks parhaista päätöksiä ikinä, sillä oli se pitkänä roikkuva etutukka vaan niin kamala. Alkuvuoden tein töitä pyykinpesun parissa. Kesällä sain tietää, että pääsin ammattikorkeakouluun opiskelemaan liiketaloutta, ja elokuussa olikin sitten edessä muutto uudelle paikkakunnalle. Syksy menikin sitten totutellessa asumaan yksin sekä opiskelijatapahtumissa juostessa. Marraskuussa jouduttiin sanomaan rakkaalle koiralleni Jepelle hyvästit.
2014 was a year of big changes. First I decided to get my bangs cutted, and that was like the best decision ever, that's how much I hated the long, droopy fringe. At the beginning of the year I worked washing laundry. In the Summer I found out, that I was accepted to stydy business administration in an university of applied sciences. In the August it was time to move out to a new city to live on my own. The autumn went with learning to live on my owm and running in different student events. In November I had to say goodbye to my beloved dog Jeppe.
2015 vuoden alussa perheeseen toivotettiin tervetulleeksi karvainen prinsessa nimeltä Pyry. Keväällä värjäsin tukan taas pitkästä aikaa punaiseksi. Se väri sai kyllä haalistua aika äkkiä. Kesällä tuli käytyä Nizzassa, sekä pestyä taas vähän lisää pyykkiä. Muu vuosi meni sitten opiskelijaelämää vietellessä.
2015. In January our family welcomed a hairy princess called Pyry as a part of the family. In the spring I dyed my hair red after being brunette for a few years. That colour faded quite quickly though. In the Summer a went to Nice for couple of days and washed some more laundry. Rest of the year I was just living the student life.
2016 oli matkustelun vuosi. Tänä vuonna tuli käytyä ensin keväällä Amsterdamissa, Birminghamissa ja Lontoossa. Kesällä tuli vierailtua Milanossa ja loppuvuodesta tuli vielä tehtyä pikainen visiitti Tallinnaan. Muuten vuosi oli hyvin edellisen kaltainen: kesällä olin töissä pesulassa ja muun vuoden opiskelin.
2016 was a year of travel. In the Spring I visited Amsterdam, Birmingham and London. In the Summer I went to Milan for a few days and at the end of the year I made a quick visit to Tallinn. Otherwise the year was pretty much like the previous one: working at the laundry in the Summer and studying for the rest of the year.
2017 oli vuosi jolloin aloitin blogin kirjoittamisen. Tähän vuoteen mahtui myös pari reissua ulkomaille: keväällä Tukholmaan ja joulukuussa Kööpenhaminaan. Opiskelut olivat jo loppusuoralla, eikä koulussa istumista ollut kuin parin ensimmäisen kuukauden aikana. Kesä meni työharjoittelussa toimistossa, ja syksyllä kirjoittelin opparia. Alkuperäinen tavoite oli valmistua vuoden loppuun mennessä, mutta se pääsi vähän venähtämään seuraavan vuoden puolelle. Tänä vuonna olin hiusvärin puolesta blondimpi kuin koskaan ennen.
2017 was the year when I started writing my blog. This year also contained a couple of trips abroad: to Stockholm in the Spring and to Copenhagen in December. I was pretty much done with my studies, I only had to sit at school for the couple of first months of the year. In the Summer I was interning at the office and in the Autumn I was writing my thesis. The original plan was to graduate by the end of the year, but it went a bit overdue. Hairwise I was blonder than I've ever been.
